4. Third-Party AI Services and Data Processors

Growly's AI assistant, voice transcription, and image/video understanding features rely on the following third-party AI service providers. Data is only sent to a provider when you actively invoke the corresponding feature:

• Alibaba Cloud DashScope (Qwen / Tongyi Qianwen model family) — used for text conversations and image/video understanding. Data sent: text messages you type in the AI assistant, and photos or videos you explicitly attach to the conversation.
• DeepSeek — used for text reasoning and summarization. Data sent: text messages you type in the AI assistant.
• Volcengine ASR (Bytedance) — used for speech-to-text. Data sent: voice clips recorded only after you explicitly tap the record button.
• All listed providers process your data under their own privacy agreements and do not retain that content beyond the immediate response.
• Before you can use Growly for the first time, the sign-up / sign-in screen requires you to tick a checkbox agreeing to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. That action constitutes your explicit consent to the third-party AI data processing described above.
• We do not separately submit your child's name, family relationships, precise location, or device identifiers to these third-party AI services unless that information is already part of a conversation message you have chosen to send.
